This week’s TBU Merch Review takes us back to the world of Imaginext with the DC super Friends 2021 Advent Calendar from Fisher-Price. The Imaginext line is very popular for younger fans and oddly our videos for the figure line typically do the most in terms of views. This new item should be no exception as it is chocked full of unique items and figures. What makes this advent calendar different than the other offerings featuring the Batman Universe?
It is no secret that the Imaginext line is one of the longest-running lines of action figures featuring the Batman Universe. Every year they release a bunch of new figures in a variety of different ways. (We have even more reviews coming soon for some unexpected versions of characters.) The line is so successful that when Mattel had the option of renewing their DC license for action figures, they passed on the adult collector line and chose to keep the line geared for preschoolers.
In some cases, there have been characters who have gotten an action figure as part of the Imaginext line that are still waiting for a figure from the DC Multiverse line, regardless if you include the current figures from McFarlane Toys or all of the past DC Multiverse figures released from Mattel.
This new set includes a total of six figures, a vehicle, and a ton of accessories. I mentioned that I though some of the items were exclusive to the set in the video review, but it seems that some of them are just very rare pieces that are not commonly offered in sets at the big box stores, like the Kryptonite spear. That said, there is still plenty of great items as part of the Imaginext DC Advent calendar that makes this a must have for the young Bat-Fan in your life.
This item was found on Amazon, and while it has been available at other locations, it seems that Amazon is the only place that still has it available. The Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends 2021 Advent Calendar can be ordered and shipped in time for you to use it this December, by heading over to Amazon and using our affiliate link and helping support TBU in the process.
