The latest TBU Merch Review jumps over to a newer line called Heroes of Goo Jit Zu from Moose Toys which includes a Batman and Joker figure. Heroes of Goo Jit Zu is a line of figures that are stretchy and squishy. The line began with original creations from Moose Toys before making the jump over to licensed characters. This included offerings from both Marvel and DC Comics.
When exploring the figures available from DC Comics, the original releases included Batman, Superman, Flash, and Joker. Batman was made available in two different outfits which was a contrast to all of the figures offered. The line has since expanded and now includes a third variation of Batman, Riddler (most likely due to the character getting a larger focus with the release of next year’s The Batman), and Aquaman.
Moose Toys has also offered “seasons” or waves of variations including two different waves of miniature versions of the figures. The first season included Batman, Superman, Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, and Joker, with special color variants for Batman and Superman. The second wave included Batman, Joker, Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, and Superman, with a glow-in-the-dark Green Lantern and the same variant Batman from the first season.
In addition to the minis and standard figures, they also expanded the line to include oversized versions called Supagoo. The only DC oversized figure at this time is Batman.
Today we take a look at the two Batman Universe items from the first wave of standard figures. They include a single pack with a black and gold version of Batman and a two-pack featuring Joker and a gray and blue Batman.
The line doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, so let us know if you would like us to review other items from the line. These figures are readily available at big-box retailers and online. You can purchase both of the items we took a look at today by heading over to Amazon and helping support us in the process.
