Below you will find brief descriptions of this week’s comics along with the ratings. Below the main TBU titles will be the DC Universe specific titles that feature characters from The Batman Universe. Rather than giving in depth reviews for those titles, we will be describing what happens in the book involving TBU characters and how it possibly impacts the story.
TBU Books:
Batman and Robin Eternal #22: The Robins regroup as the captured Harper Row and Cassandra Cain witness the start of Mother’s worldwide attack. 4/5
Batman ’66 Meets the Man from U.N.C.L.E. #4: The Dynamic Duo and Batgirl Join the Men from UNCLE to uncover the fiendish plot that unites Batman’s Rogues Gallery and THRUSH. 3/5
Batman Beyond #10: Batman squares off with the Justice League Beyond. In Gotham the refugees storm through the wall demanding supplies from Luke Fox and Barbara Gordon. 5/5
Batgirl #49: Frankie must dive into Babs’ brain and help her out of her hypnotic induced coma! 4/5
Injustice: Gods Among Us Year Five #5: After the Rogues’ successful attacks against the Regime, Superman makes the capturing of the them a priority. However, Bizarro beats Superman to the punch when he confronts the Rogues and kidnaps the Trickster (apparently his new “friend”) and kills Weather Wizard and Heat Wave during the fight. 3/5
DC Comics Bombshells #10: Wonder Woman rallies the troops for a hug battle, while Kate and Selina get cozy. Meanwhile Rabbit John Constantine and Zatanna try to even the odds in a battle with the Tenebrae that ends up backfiring in a huge way. 3.5/5
DC Universe Books:
Midnighter #10: Midnighter actually interacts with and then takes on key members of the Suicide Squad (Amanda Waller, Harley Quinn, Deadshot and Parasite). Waller wants more intel on Spyral and her means if retrieving that information is Midnighter.
