Over the weekend, there were a ton of rumors to hit the net. And although some of them are not considered rumors, we are grouping them in because of the lack of news involved in the information. Also some of these may be spoilers for some, so proceed with caution.
First up, Batman-News.com posted up some exclusive set photos of Wayne Manor and what appears to be a graveyard on the premises of Wayne Manor. It appears that we might be seeing an iconic scene of Bruce in the graveyard his parents are buried at.
Filming is certainly underway at Wollaton Hall. But it appears as things are not going quite as smooth behind the scenes. A crew truck accidently plowed into a wall in the entrance of the premises.
But despite that small set-back, filming is still taking place and Christian Bale is in the rain with a female co-star.
On to something a little less interesting. It appears that a stunt is being planned in Scotland. According to STV Entertainment, a scene is planned in which Batman lands a plane while on fire. This may also play into the previous rumor of the airport in Scotland being used for filming.
And finally, we get into some talk about Catwoman herself, Anne Hathaway. Hathaway spoke with Harper's Bazaar about her training for the role in The Dark Knight Rises. An excerpt from the author of the article that is set to appear in August's issue let's us know a little about what she is going through.
She has been working out five days a week — rigorous exercise and stunt training followed by an hour and a half of dance. "I've always thought that skinny was the goal, but with this job I also have to be strong," she says. Anne has always been slim, but if you look at clips of her in her early 20s, when she made The Devil Wears Prada and Brokeback Mountain — films that first gave a clue of her dramatic range — the difference is she stands taller now and with more confidence.
Also over at Hollywood Life, an insider states that the cat-suit will be closer to the comic book incarnation than anything else.
“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies,” a source very close to the costume design tells us exclusively. “She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.”
I'm sure that no one will mind that. The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 2012.
