It’s finally here. Ahead of San Diego Comic Con, we’ve got our first look at Titans, the first exclusive show launching on DC Universe. Check it out below:
Seems really brutal, huh? The trailer seems to place a heavy emphasis on Robin and Raven with the latter turning to Dick Grayson for help fighting off her internal (and external) demons. We see a flashback to Haly’s Circus and Dick losing his parents, keeping his original origin story intact. Throughout we also see some intense action scenes that do not skimp on the blood and bone-crunching.
Starfire and Beast Boy make appearances, and both look pretty good in motion, as well as Hawk and Dove and all seem to be itching for a fight. The moment in the trailer most people will be talking about is when one of the bad guys asks where Batman is, and Robin responds with “F*** Batman.” Clearly, they’re going dark with this series which seems to be more in line with the Netflix offering of Marvel shows than the Arrowverse on the CW. The serious, mature tone could elevate the show or turn some off who didn’t like the darker tone of the DCEU in general.
Titans launches this fall on DC Universe. No exact release date has been announced as of now.
