After months of speculation about Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing various roles in The Dark Knight Rises, Warner Bros. has finally announced that they have been cast. But with the announcement, we are left with a couple of questions regarding their roles.
There is already speculation regarding Cotillard's role in the film. Could it be a role that she plays in the beginning of the film and later is revealed to be Talia al Ghul towards the climax of the film? Or is it something completely different as the love interest for Bruce Wayne after Rachel's demise?
Also, the description of Gordon-Levitt's character seems to be very similar to the character of Max Cort from the rumored source material for the film, Batman: Prey, where Max Cort is a cop under Gordon's task force to apprehend Batman. Time will tell, for this, but there is already something on the net regarding this announcement from Badass Digest saying that their source claimed that "he would be someone sowing chaos in Gotham at the start of the film."
So with the announcement, more rumors will develop on the net, and we will be sure to sift through them for you.
