Courtesy of the WB forums, the makers of “Return to Arkham” have released a short statement detailing why the game will not now make it’s planned July 29th release date.
“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
There’s little surprising about this news, as both Arkham City and Arkham Knight were delayed past their original dates. Bungling original games Asylum and City together and putting them on the same platform that helped create Arkham Knight is bound to be a lot of work, and instead of rushing the title out they’re letting it breathe so it’s as good as it can be upon release. Hopefully a new release date is released soon and we can all look forward to returning to the Arkham universe.
