I have some very exciting news! Whilst it's nothing official, I have good reason to believe we'll be seeing 'Batwoman' in November 2011. This all came about from Amy Reeder stating at WonderCon that we won't see her art in Batwoman until February 2012. From this, and knowing that Reeder starts her arc from issue 4, Dustin shrewdly deduced that we can expect 'Batwoman' #1 in November- but keep your eyes on DC's solicitations in August to see if this prediction reigns true.
Now, as far as actual delays go, I'm sure you won't be surprised, but no doubt frustrated, by further delays to both 'Batman Incorporated' and 'Batman: The Dark Knight'. A couple of weeks ago you may remember me telling you that 'Batman Incorporated' #5 was delayed a week from the 13th April to the 20th, well this issue is now solicited as yet another week later meaning it is now due out on the 27th April. Not only that, but this has pushed #6 back by a week as well from the 4th May to the 11th.
Not only this but now we can expect David Finch's masterpiece of fan-fiction 'Batman: The Dark Knight' #3 a whole month late, now solicited for the 25th May instead of the 27th April. This has obviously pushed the rest of the issues back a month but I find it interesting how DC is still soliciting this title as a monthly when it's becoming quite clear that Finch can only handle bi-monthly at best.
Once again we have no warning, acknowledgment or excuse from DC for these delays but that's why this post is here for you. That being said, you can pick up 'Batman Beyond' #4 from your local comic shop tomorrow, a slow week for the The Batman Universe but one that's easy on our wallets so you won't hear me complain!
