We mentioned on Sunday that during the Joker's acceptance speech for the Character of the Year award at the 2011 Video Game Awards that a possible name for the third game might have been revealed.
This would not be the first time that the VGA's are used to share some upcoming information about the Arkham franchise. In 2009, Batman: Arkham City was hinted at through a teaser trailer, although the title was not revealed. And just last year, the first official trailer debuted during the award show.
Well, as it turns out, Batman: Arkham World is not the name of the next game in the franchise. VG247 received an email from a Warner Bros. rep that stated this, "What was referenced in Rocksteady’s acceptance speech was added in good fun only."
So it appears that time will tell what is next for the franchise.
