On September 23, 2017, over 5000 libraries, comic shops, and bookstores will come together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of everyone’s favorite psychologist turned villain turned wacky hero, Harley Quinn, as she takes over the annual Batman Day.
Along will special events and contests held in these locations, fans can also pick up three free special edition comics featuring both Harley and some guy named Bruce Wayne:
- BATMAN DAY 2017 SPECIAL EDITION #1 includes the first chapter of BATMAN VOL. 3: I AM BANE written by Tom King and illustrated by David Finch, plus an original 3-page Harley Quinn story by Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and Bret Blevins.
- HARLEY QUINN BATMAN DAY 2017 SPECIAL EDITION #1 includes the first chapter of the JOKER LOVES HARLEY graphic novel by Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and John Timms. DC
- SUPER HERO GIRLS BATMAN DAY 2017 SPECIAL EDITION #1, features a sneak preview of the upcoming all-ages original graphic novel, DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: OUT OF THE BOTTLE written by Shea Fontana with art by Marcelo DiChiara and Agnes Garbowska.
If that’s not enough, the celebration will also kick off on September 18 via the DC All Access digital series which will have a full week of Batman and Harley Quinn related videos including a tribute to Quinn and her most important comic book (and other media) appearances.
But wait, there’s more!
Paul Dini, Frank Miller, Brian Azzarello, Andy Kubert and Klaus Janson will be available at select retailers for signings along with some exclusive merchandise like Batman and Harley Quinn masks and a “Harley Quinn Batman Day Takeover” poster.
Oh, and if you’re a digital-only comic book fan, there’s going to be a Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary sale kicking off September 12 on her most beloved adventures with an additional sale beginning September 19 of all Bat-Family books. There is literally something for every Bat Fan!
