DC Comics has announced that a group of classic graphic novels and collections will be added to the recent Black Label imprint among the new original content coming in 2019. The Bat-Family will be featured in over a dozen re-released titles including game changers like Alan Moore’s The Killing Joke and Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.
Black Label was launched this year with the intent to create original stand-alone stories that are not part of DC’s main continuity. Created by some of the industry’s best and brightest, Black Label will feature complex stories about DC’s most iconic heroes- as well as new editions of books fans already know and love.
“The DC Black Label line will house the best and most evergreen stories from DC,” says DC Publisher Dan DiDio. “The company has a long history that includes some of the most recognizable and renowned storytelling in comics and we want to honor that history by putting them under one banner.”
