DC Comics is expanding the The Batman Universe comic in October. The publisher plans to launch two new ongoing series that will explore new corners of the Batman’s twisted universe. In Arkham Manor, Wayne Manor becomes the new Arkham Asylum and it is rumored that some of the inmates will die in the makeover. The other new monthly title, Gotham Academy, is set at Gotham City’s most prestigious prep school of which Bruce Wayne is a leading benefactor. No indication has been given yet that either of these books will be set in the New 52 universe, the universe of the Arkham Games, or a completely separate contiunity of their own.
Arkham Manor is written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Shawn Crystal, while Gotham Academy is written by Becky Cloonan and Brendan Fletcher and drawn by Karl Kerschl. Gotham Academy hits on October 1, while Arkham Manor arrives on October 22.
