Los Angeles, CA (August 26, 2013) – Artist and contemporary fashion designer Lauren Moshi has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) for a stylish spin on some of the most iconic characters in entertainment – Looney Tunes’ Tweety, and several of DC Comics’ most famed Super Heroes, Wonder Woman, Batman, Batgirl, Superman and Supergirl.
“These iconic characters are part of my childhood and the Lauren Moshi customer can really relate to them,” says Moshi. “I’m thrilled to be able to put my own spin on these beloved icons.”
“Lauren possesses an incredibly unique creative vision and we are excited to partner with her to bring her fans, and ours, a collection that shows fashion can be fun with Tweety or fearless with Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman and more,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing for WBCP.
Moshi’s designs include a clothed Tweety, with oversized, heart-shaped feet; the ultimate female empowerment symbol, the Wonder Woman emblem; the unmistakable Batman symbol, an insignia that is both distinctive and powerful, and also worn by Batgirl; and Superman’s iconic S-Shield, the universal symbol for strength, also upheld by Supergirl. Young women around the world will have these distinct iconic characters to choose from when selecting their symbolic fashions of the season.
As with all original Lauren Moshi artwork, the designs will be silk-screened onto t-shirts, dresses, tote bags and other fashion garments. The collection will be available at online and specialty retail boutiques such as Bloomingdales.com, Revolveclothing.com, Lester’s and Singer22, as well as the Lauren Moshi Flagship Boutique on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles. The designs are set to hit stores over a period of 6 months starting this fall. Retail prices range from $98-202.
