The New Zealand Mint has announced its latest silver collectible coin, which features a Batman #1 comic printed on the coin. The coin is part of a series called COMIX Coins, featuring various different famous comic covers. The coin measures just under two inches tall and is colored like the original comic cover. The action-packed COMIX™ Coin Series continues with the first comic dedicated exclusively to BATMAN™ — Batman #1!
Made from 1oz of pure silver, this iconic collectible displays a colored image of the cover of the Batman #1 comic, released in March 1940. To mimic the comic book, it is crafted into a rectangular shape and colored on all four sides to represent the spine and pages. On the obverse is the Public Seal of Niue to confirm it as a legal tender coin.
A custom-designed outer box houses the coin and includes a large display window for display. Printed on the box is a Certificate of Authenticity and the coin’s unique number in the mintage of only 5,000.
