Rocksteady has announced that Arleen Sorkin will not be returning to reprise her role as Harley Quinn in Batman: Arkham City. Instead, Bat-cartoon vet Tara Strong will be voicing the Joker's main girl. They also released a short interview with Tara Strong about voicing Harley. Here are the highlights.
Rocksteady: Harley has come a long way since the animated series, how do you think she’s changed?
Tara Strong: I think over time, she, like many of the classic Batman characters, has gotten sleeker and more sophisticated, without losing her essence.
Rocksteady: How is Harley different from The Huntress who you voiced in Batman: The Brave and the Bold?
Tara Strong: Stepping into the role of Harley Quinn is an enormous honor that I do not take lightly. She has an established voice and character that I definitely wanted to honor. Huntress is a completely different character that I helped create vocally from scratch.
Rocksteady: How do you see Harley’s role in Arkham City.
Tara Strong: Harley Quinn is classically protective of The Joker, fiercely so. She has a unique mix of psychopath and vulnerable girl sweetness. She is crafty and sharp. I see her as a force to be reckoned with.
For the entire interview, head over to the official Batman: Arkham City site. Batman: Arkham City releases this coming October on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
