Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that LEGO Batman will be part of the upcoming tie-in video game for The LEGO Movie 2. The new game promises to follow the story of the second film while giving players the ability to visit worlds from the first film as well. While the announcement was for the game, the game wouldn’t be complete without LEGO Batman. He will be part of the game just like the game based off the first film along with new characters who are debuting in the second film.
The official description for the game was shared as well. “The alien monster invaders have left Bricksburg in ruins. It is now up to Emmet and a host of heroic characters to go beyond their world and save their friends from the strange inhabitants of the Systar System. Journey into outer space, discover new worlds, and test your Master Building skills.”
The game also promises that new areas will be able to be discovered once special LEGO items are built and that the worlds can be changed by rebuilding roads, creating buildings and changing the landscapes.
The game will launch a few weeks after the film releases in theaters. On February 26, the game will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. And while the game will be available digitally on all systems on February 26, the retail version for Nintendo Switch will release on March 26. Looking forward to the game?
