As TBU continues to report on rumored castings for the upcoming Suicide Squad film, the newest reports indicate that actress Margot Robbie will be portraying popular villain, Harley Quinn. Collider released the initial report citing unnamed sources but several news sites have continued to circulate the story since it first broke. Harley Quinn has been a staple of the Suicide Squad in recent years both in the comics and with a cameo in Arrow’s episode featuring the group last season.
For those unfamiliar with Robbie, she rose to attention as Martin Scorcese’s Wolf of Wall Street. She is currently filming 2016’s Tarzan, where she will star as Jane, and also has upcoming roles in the Will Smith-starring Focus and the 2015 sci-fi Z for Zachariah.
Suicide Squad is set to be released in 2016.
