Leading up to Comic Con, Scott Snyder teased that he would be making an announcement during the Justice League panel. The panel occurred earlier and he, in fact, had an announcement. In November, the Batman Who Laughs returns.
Announced as a six-issue miniseries, Scott Snyder will reteam with Jock to bring the character back. Snyder described the series as something he really has been eager to write and plans to get back to his horror roots. The miniseries pits Batman against the culmination of all his fears from the Dark Multiverse. This, of course, would the evil amalgamation of himself and the Joker. Batman Who Laughs brings another version of Bruce Wayne. One who kills Joe Chill with the very gun that Chill used to kill his parents.
DC Also showed off two pieces of art from the upcoming project which can be seen above. One appears to be the cover of the first issue, while the other features Artillery Bats, presumably the other version of Bruce.
Snyder debuted at DC Comics with Jock on Detective Comics back in 2010. The Batman Who Laughs made his first appearance during Dark Nights: Metal which released just under a year ago. Looking forward to the evil Batman returning?
