Longtime TBU fans will no doubt recognize the names “Kane” as well as “Finger,” the two creators with unequal credit of the The Dark Knight himself. The Batman franchise is one of the most successful in history spawning countless movie and television appearances and never ending merchandise spinoffs. But Bill Finger’s contribution to the character’s creation has yet to be properly acknowledged. The new Hulu documentary hopes to help remedy that.
Previously announced back in August, Batman and Bill, from filmmakers Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce and based on the book by Marc Tyler Nobleman, helps to explain why Finger’s contribution was overshadowed for decades. Doing rounds at this year’s TCA’s, Hulu has announced that the documentary is scheduled to hit the streaming service this May.
