With less than a month to go before Justice League hits theaters, we’re seeing a steady stream of tidbits about the movie, as well as the future of the franchise. Take for instance these two items.
First off, you don’t need to think twice about grabbing an extra large drink at the theater because Justice League is set to be the shortest DC film yet, with a run time of 121 minutes according to a number of theater chains and as well as Fandango. While by no means a short movie, hopefully the film will be stuffed with the action and teamwork movie-goers are hoping to see in an epic super hero team-up.
And while the movie is not even in theaters yet, James Gordon himself, J.K. Simmons, has revealed in an interview with Total Film magazine that a script is in the works for the second Justice League (along with The Batman). Of his character’s role in Justice League, Simmons said “It introduces my incarnation of Commissioner Gordon. I don’t have a lot to do. I feel like I just dipped my toe in the water of who Commissioner Gordon will be.” So don’t expect Gordon to be riding shotgun in the Batmobile during an epic battle with the forces of Apokolips.
