It was just last July that word came out that Warner Bros. was developing an animated film based on the DC Super Pets franchise with Jared Stern attached to write the film. Now as part of a larger announcement of release dates, Warner has announced the planned release date for the film.
Just last week, rumors made their way to the internet that a number of animated projects were in development or beginning development soon. One of those films is the DC Super Pets. While a writer was already attached to the project, the film seems to be moving full steam ahead as Warner announced that they plan on releasing the film on May 21, 2021.
While there are not a ton of details released, Jared Stern is also expected to direct the film alongside Sam Levine with producer Patty Hicks attached to the project.
This film adds to The LEGO Batman Movie, The LEGO movies, and Teen Titans Go! to the Movies as animated films featuring DC characters that make their way to the big screen. Looking forward to another animated film geared toward a younger audience?
