We already knew that DC Universe has been filling out its available content with both new shows and classic television series and movies. Now, DC has announced another piece of programming for the streaming service with DC Daily, a news show that will provide updates on DC’s comics and entertainment along with interviews, guest stars, and panel discussions.
The show will kick off on August 29 at 4:30 PST with a live stream hosted by Kevin Smith. The director will take viewers through the format while previewing the type of content that will be available on DC Daily. Of particular note is the live stream, available on Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube will also feature an announcement on the launch of DC Universe. Could we be seeing the reveal of a release date for the service? I wouldn’t be surprised if the end of the stream announced that the service was officially available for download right after the stream ends.
Future episodes of DC Daily will be shown on both DC’s YouTube channel with DC Universe getting longer episodes with additional content not shown to the regular public. The show will also be replacing DC All Access which had aired on YouTube for the past five years.
What content do you hope to see on DC Daily and do you think DC will use the show for big announcements or will it be more for casual fans to get their daily dose of DC news in one place? Let us know in the comments.
