It is also important to point out that while the press release points out a variety of merchandise that is tied to the release of the film, some of the products we have previously reported on. So we are going to break down the press release by section and share relevant information for everything mentioned.

The headline of the press release says it all. It is 2022 and the last time a Batman film had a significant marketing and merchandise presence was The Dark Knight Rises. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released in 2016, but the film had a split marketing plan between Batman and Superman. It was the nature of the film with the heroes pitted against each other. The other immediate info is that Saks Fifth Avenue will feature many of the high-end brands mentioned in the release.
BURBANK, CA, Jan.10, 2022 — In celebration of the upcoming cinematic experience created by director Matt Reeves, the new “The Batman” lifestyle merchandise collection allows fans to channel Batman/Bruce Wayne and Catwoman/Selina Kyle like never before. Today, WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences revealed the largest collection of Batman film products in over a decade with premier partners worldwide launching “The Batman” fashion, accessories, beauty products, toys and collectibles inspired by the highly anticipated film. Batman also influenced the latest style statement of the French fashion house Lanvin, who for the first time in the character’s more than 80-year history, has dedicated a collection to DC’s iconic Super Hero and his on-again/off-again antagonist, Catwoman. First seen on the runway during Paris Fashion Week, the collection will be available online and in select Saks Fifth Avenue stores starting March 2 and on saks.com on March 15, in line with the film’s release on March 4 in North America and international release beginning March 2, 2022.
To celebrate the film’s debut, Saks Fifth Avenue’s iconic New York Flagship store will design custom window displays transporting shoppers directly into Reeves’ version of Gotham City. Inside, guests can peruse a bespoke pop-up shop showcasing “The Batman”-inspired apparel from EleVen by Venus Williams, Maison Labiche, and Lanvin as well as accessories, beauty products, toys and collectibles. The exclusive merchandise collection will also be available to shop online on saks.com.

Here we get the first mention of the brands that some may not expect to be involved in. While we will go into more detail with these below, it is worth mentioning that some pretty big names in fashion are involved. Going back to Saks Fifth Avenue, there are details regarding the physical presence the collection will have. The collection ill be in stores on March 2 and online on March 15. The flagship store in New York City will feature custom window displays of Gotham City.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ expansive “The Batman” collection features products across multiple categories:
Fashion and Footwear: In collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC, Lanvin will bring classic character-inspired visuals to the luxury and sophisticated fashions, infinitely reinvented in the spirit of Jeanne Lanvin’s designs. Featuring shades of deep, brilliant blues and purples, Batman and Catwoman’s iconic faces, inspired by the timeless images from the comics, appear on the label’s signature asymmetric shirt, the metal mesh dresses, and the reversible teddy jacket. Accessories also take on saturated colors and Art Deco lines in a Gotham City style, and the Curbs sneakers are stylish like the Batmobile, which also lends its sleek lines to a minaudiere clutch. The characters also appear on new bags, jazzing up the graceful lines of the label’s leather goods.

With something for every fan, other fashion brands capturing ”The Batman” vibe include, for the first time in DC history, a Carhartt partnership with coats, t-shirts, hoodies and pants and TomboyX t-shirts and underwear.
The Carhartt partnership will be more in line for fans who are not into high fashion, but unfortunately, no images or details were given for the new items other than the brief sentence.
Venus Williams’ lifestyle and fashion-forward activewear brand, EleVen by Venus Williams, will debut an all-new collection inspired by “The Batman.” Designed to evoke the dark streets of Gotham City, EleVen took inspiration from the neon lights, rain-slicked sidewalks, and midnight moonlight. Authentically Batman, the foundation of the collection is monochrome with a touch of red and “handmade” touches like exposed zipper detailing and lace-up eyelets borrowed from the legend himself, who fashioned his own Batsuit. With a nod to Selina Kyle (Catwoman), sexy, rebellious undertones can be seen in studded styles, mesh shirring, and classic wet-look prints in black and white. The collection will be available on EleVenbyVenusWilliams.com, at Saks Fifth Avenue and Tennis Warehouse, and Internationally at Zalando.com.
The product collection for The Batman from the EleVen by Venus Willaims brand has the most details. Not only were there more images than any of the other new brands, but they also told us exactly where the collection will be available. Here in the United States, it will be available through Saks Fifth Avenue or Tennis Warehouse. Internationally, the collection will be available via Zalando.com.
Run Gotham City in the new PUMA x BATMAN collection. Created in honor of the release of the new film “The Batman,” this training collection makes a statement with moody colors and graphics inspired by the Caped Crusader. With the help of dryCELL technology to wick moisture and ergonomic cutlines for ease of movement, these training pieces will take you through the streets of Gotham City – and beyond.
This was expected as this collection was hinted at during DC FanDome 2021. At the time there were no details, and Puma was hyping their The Suicide Squad collection at the time. Now we know that The Batman will have a product collection from the popular athletic company. No images or details were given with the release, so we will keep our eyes out for details and share them when we have them.
DC Shop will light up the Bat-Signal with exclusive new merchandise from “The Batman.” The new collection, featuring apparel, sporting goods, and more, will be available to order beginning February 1. National retailers and specialty stores including Target, Walmart, and others will also offer additional fashion and footwear styles for adults, juniors and kids. International fashion partners include Zara, Carrefour, and Tealer to name a few.
DC Shop has previously had an exclusive for the film with the release of the “Darkness” shirt for DC FanDome 2021. Now there are new exclusives coming February 1 including the two shown in the gallery below. A number of retailers will also be carrying a variety of apparel and more featuring The Batman, some of which has already started popping up in stores.
Accessories: It is only right for the World’s Greatest Detective to inspire chic and cool accessories from brands like Boxlunch, Fast Track, Accessory Innovation, Funko, Manly Bands, Pull & Bear, Global Junk Brands, Mobyfox and Zara. Fossil will drop The Batman x Fossil capsule collection, including collectible watches, jewelry and leather goods. Launching on February 28, the collection features limited-edition designs inspired by the enigmatic Super-Villain The Riddler and Batman’s signature Batsuit in the new film. Saks will offer accessories from luxury brands like Kross Studio, with high-end timepieces coined “The Batman” Tourbillon, a genuine leather watch case and Bat Signal watch winder. In Brazil, accessories from Maxlog will offer backpacks, pencil cases and lunch boxes. In the Asia Pacific region, Uncle Jacks Watches and Tendence Japan will release “The Batman”-inspired wristwatches.
As we get out of the fashion and apparel section of the announcements, we get into groups of merchandise with less details. Starting off with accessories, the main focus will be the two watches released by Fossil. There will be a variety of other accessories, but most of them will be smaller items with little mention.
Beauty: Renowned leader in luxury haute parfumerie, House of Sillage, has announced a new limited-edition collection in celebration of “The Batman.” Featuring a fragrance, lipstick, and candle, The Batman x House of Sillage Collection will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue and online at www.houseofsillage.com. Emilie Heathe x The Batman is a limited-edition collection that introduces three unique nail polish shades in which “The Batman” characters are reimagined, appropriately named “The Dark Night,” “Vengeance,” and “Madness.” The nourishing formula packs a high concentration of color and shine designed to go on smooth and stay on all day. The collection will launch alongside a “Knight Out” nail accessory set, including a nail decal set, Batman-embellished crystal nail file and beauty clips. The collection will be available for purchase on February 15 through emilieheathe.com. Open Dr. Squatch’s limited-edition Soap Bar Bundle and choose your side Batman or Super-Villain. The limited-edition collection features two bar soaps inspired by “The Batman”: “The Batman Bricc™” with a leathery, musky scent, and “The Riddler Enigma™” with aromas that are mysterious yet intriguing.The two-bar bundle will be available on March 4 for $20 on Dr. Squatch’s website.
It shouldn’t surprise many that this section is outside my realm. But I can’t remember a time when a Batman film had a fragrance or nail polish attached to it. It clearly helps to have Catwoman in the film to get appeal from the beauty customers for these items. There was an image released for the House of Sillage colelction which can be seen above. That said, Dr. Squatch has had huge growth and in the past has features Star Wars. Batman is just as popular, in my opinion, so this parternship makes sense.
Toys & Collectibles: The famous collectible manufacturer McFarlane has a stunning line up: The Batman, The Riddler and Catwoman figures are all available to pre-order for $19.99. The Batcycle, based on the one seen in the new film, will also be on sale for pre-order for $29.99. The most authentic “The Batman” film statue, created with direct input from the film’s producer and director and based on Robert Pattinson’s character, is also available for pre-order now. Additional figures and statues inspired by “The Batman” will be announced this year.
Here is when we get into a lot of the things we have already seen. So rather than sharing the images provided, we will point you in the direction of our already extensive articles for the different toys and collectibles that we already have reported on. Starting off with DC Multiverse action figures, these were announced during DC FanDome along with the drifter Batman announced around the holidays. The statues that are mentioned are kind of a toss up on which ones the release is referring to. They could be the statues announced at DC FanDome featuring not only Batman, but also Riddler. But because the release doesn’t mention Riddler and the fact that these statues are branded DC Direct from McFarlane Toys, it is diffcult to know if they are the same ones. We have seen a twelve-inch posed statue from McFarlane as part of the DC Multiverse line, but that one was based on poster. The big news here is that as expected, there are more figures coming. So start guessing on which figures could make it into the second wave.
The Funko collection celebrating “The Batman” is a must-have for collectors everywhere, with exclusive items available at Target, Walmart, Hot Topic and Pop in a Box. Brought to life in Funko’s signature style, the lineup introduces many new Pop! figures based on Batman, Selina Kyle (Catwoman), and the infamous Super-Villains The Riddler and The Penguin ($12.00). Funko is also releasing new collectibles of Batman driving the Batmobile and Selina Kyle riding her motorcycle, as seen in the action-packed film’s streets of Gotham City. A standout item in the collection is a Bruce Wayne Pop! figure in his civilian clothes (exclusively available at Target).
This product collection for The Batman was announced just last week. In addition to Pop figures there was also keychains and plush offerings that are coming, with the keychains possibly the accessories that were referenced earlier in the press release.
Recreate epic crime-fighting scenes from the movie with toys from leading global children’s entertainment company Spin Master. Engage your imagination with the new Batman 4-inch and 12-inch ($8.99-$10.49) action figures featuring new characters, Selina Kyle and The Penguin. It even includes an exclusive 4-inch Batman figure in an all-black Batsuit. This is another group of items that we found out about before the weekend, but reported all about this morning. There will be new remote control toys, role-playing toys, new twelve-inch action figures, and new four-inch action figures. No official word on release dates, but we know that some of these items have alredy been appearing in stores.
“The Batman” takeover began at DC FanDome in fall 2021 when LEGO®, Hot Wheels and McFarlane announced authentic toys and collectibles. The LEGO® brand’s collection includes three building sets, featuring minifigures based on Batman, Selina Kyle, Alfred and Lieutenant Gordon, along with Super-Villains The Riddler and The Penguin. The collection’s new sets are: Batcave: The Riddler Face-off ($79.99 USD), Batmobile: The Penguin Chase ($29.99 USD), and the Batman and Selina Kyle Motorcycle.
Out of everything in this press release, the LEGO sets are the offerings we have known about the longest as they released back in November in time for holiday shopping. The press release mentions three new sets, but there is also a LEGO Technic Batmobile that fans will be excited to own.
“The Batman” Batmobile from Hot Wheels R/C features epic remote-control performance with authentic details and movie-like sculpts for the adult collector and fan of Batman’s iconic vehicles. This Batmobile model was designed for collectors who appreciate premium design and precision performance in replica vehicles. This 1:10 scale Ultimate edition features movie accurate graphics, LED lights, smoke and flame FX from both the hood and the rear, detailed exterior and interior, a Batcave-inspired plinth, and a poseable Batman figure behind the wheel. It boasts high-tech features such as light and sound effects and working suspension, as well as a diorama plinth that both Alfred and the Caped Crusader would appreciate for its authenticity. This is a must-have for fans of and distinguished R/C collectors.
The collectible mentioned in this part might end up being on of the biggest disappointments. It has nothing to do with the overall quality of the offerings as it is amazing. The issue with this release is that it was available for preorder for a extrememly small window and sold out almost immediately. It has a hefty price tag, but this would have been a great item for a lot of colelctors if they had a better heads up for it along with more available. That said, the release does not mention the other Hot Wheels offerings that we know will be released including the standard size vehicle we reviewed in December.
Rubies is pleased to debut a selection of new, officially licensed adult and children’s costumes in celebration of “The Batman.” Outfits inspired by Batman and Selina Kyle (Catwoman) are available for preorder now and will ship by late February. Additional accessories, as well as costumes based on The Riddler and Batman costumes for pets, will launch in time for Halloween.
This is expected as everytime a new major film releases, there are always costumes that release alongside it. The Batman will be no different as Rubies will have their own product collection. There was a selection of what will be offered shown in the gallery below.
Food: In select markets around the world (excluding the U.S.), Oreo will replace the classic Oreo cookie embossment with a “The Batman” emblem. These limited-edition Oreos will have custom “The Batman” designed packaging. Fans can also enter a “The Batman” themed sweepstakes in select regions and engage in fun social media campaigns and activities provided by Oreo.
In the final section of the press release for all of The Batman product collection items, we focus on food. It is surprising that there is not more mentioned in this section as previous films have had a number of promotional tie-ins. Special Oreo cookies will appear but in select international markets. We also know that Little Ceasar’s will be running a national promotion for the film. The major surprise is the lack of mention of the previously revealed Mountain Dew. Given the delay of the film, that is probably why this promotion was cancelled, but we caould have seen Riddler’s Brew in soft drink form.
So there you have it. This is what Warner Bros. wants us to know about when it comes to The Batman product collection. That is not to say that there can not be other things revealed in the future, but these items are likely the bulk of what fans can expect.
